I am a high-profile Silicon Valley venture capitalist. AMA (Ask Me Anything) (reddit.com)

I really like the AMA series on Reddit. I would suggest we do something similar here, but I suspect Reddit is a little more, well, diverse.

If people start posting AMA links on this site, then it won't be "this site" anymore.

Seems quite possible he is with Sequoia. http://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/9s5k3/iama_i_am_a_high...

Let's not speculate about his identify though because it may be possible to figure out who he is and then he will have to stop answering questions.

Interesting tidbits:

Q:If i have a business plan, how do you want me to send it to you?

A:Have someone who already knows us refer you to us. If you don't know someone who knows us, we are highly unlikely to fund your company as a practical matter.

Advice: I would skip the networking events and spend your time building your reputation through hard (and brilliant) work.

Well, not quite ask me anything--so long as it is not specific enough to figure out who he is.

He should do this here instead.

Perhaps, but Reddit has a larger community, and the AMA is a tradition there. I would encourage as many people as possible to go over and ask a few questions. Creating an account takes all of 30 seconds.

It's not often we get to talk to a VC in anonymous setting.. It allows for far more honest answers than you'd see on Blogs, etc.
