Remove the "Next" button when it's not necessary (when there can be only one answer to the question). Just go to the next question when a user clicks on an answer to the current question.

Sounds reasonable, but one issue is what to do if the person chose an answer by mistake. Will I then have to show a back button on the next question?

Yeah, I think a back button will be a good solution.
I'd prefer to click a few times to fix a mistake then have to click twice for every answer.
