Personally, I'm quite pleased that Apple adopted the design, for the same reason I bought the watch last year: it's a beautiful, very readable design.

Yep, love my very simple Mondaine Evo. The thing's crazy readable; I can read it in the very lowest of light conditions and from steep angles too.
