Strategic bombing has never won a war. Blow up buildings, kill people, sure. But never definitely ended a conflict. I suggest we stop the kinetics, and try diplomacy.

There’s an argument that MAYBE it did - with the Second World War, and the allies’ ability to completely destroy the means of production in Germany and Japan.

Aircraft factories, munitions factories, forges, steel refineries: all wiped out systematically to reduce the enemy’s ability to wage war.

But to your point… this is not those days.

German armaments production increased dramatically despite Allied bombing. If I'm not mistaken, the impact of bombing Germany is still hotly debated. The loss of alloy mines in the East was far more devastating, again if I'm not mistaken.

bombing in Germany for WWII included plenty of revenge targets that were not directly part of the war effort

and try diplomacy.

Diplomacy in Iran particularly since 1979 has rarely accomplished anything beyond a stalling tactic. The current regime has never been open to changing anything as a result of diplomacy. The world has grown tired of the bully. It's time for their regime to go one way or another.

Yes we need to eliminate Netanyahu and install a leader who doesn't want to nuke the world on the Israeli regime.

It's unclear what boots on the ground can do that bombing can't.

Diplomacy generally doesn't work until neither side gains by extending the conflict.

"boots on the ground" can take possession of ground, property, and people. And tell people what to do, directly.
