Strategic bombing has never won a war. Blow up buildings, kill people,sure. But never definitely ended a conflict.
I suggest we stop the kinetics, and try diplomacy.
There’s an argument that MAYBE it did - with the Second World War, and the allies’ ability to completely destroy the means of production in Germany and Japan.
Aircraft factories, munitions factories, forges, steel refineries: all wiped out systematically to reduce the enemy’s ability to wage war.
German armaments production increased dramatically despite Allied bombing. If I'm not mistaken, the impact of bombing Germany is still hotly debated. The loss of alloy mines in the East was far more devastating, again if I'm not mistaken.
Diplomacy in Iran particularly since 1979 has rarely accomplished anything beyond a stalling tactic. The current regime has never been open to changing anything as a result of diplomacy. The world has grown tired of the bully. It's time for their regime to go one way or another.
