Should be fixed now. App Store needed an EU declaration.

Apps without trader status will be removed from the App Store in the EU: https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=einwn76m

What's supposed to be a "trader status"? I'm not aware of a legislation with these terms in the EU.

For the DSA, Apple could just check in app purchases.

Seems to be a thing, had to do the same on JetBrain's Plugin Marketplace.

Check out Article 3 Definition (f) and Article 30 and associated Articles in https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=OJ:L...

But Apple already knows if an app is charging money or not, they don't need any extra information for that

It's not that cut and dry.

Free apps might also require you to register as a trader based on this non-exhaustive list, https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-co...

If you sell a remote control toy car that uses an app, you're a trader. If you have an app for browsing your retail offerings, you're a trader. If you have an app, and you make any money in part due to having the app on the app store, you're a trader.

The title mentions Germany, but seems to be happening in several countries.

EDIT: For the record, I'm not a fan of linking to Reddit, but I don't know if there's any official announcement.
