This article is confusing, it flips between %s and $ and doesn't really explain it's thesis. Seems like AI written junk.


I don't think it is due to app store. I don't understand why should anyone pay 30% fee when Apple already charge $100 per year for dev. I am happy Disney and Hulu isn't entertaining their ridiculous fee.


They do a black friday deal where you can subscribe for $.99 to $2 a month I think for one or both services. Wonder how that factors in.


It would be more helpful if the article provided a year-to-year comparison.
