Hey, I’m Sid, Head of APAC @ Retool. Over the past year, I’ve helped build out our startups program from the ground up, and supported 1000s of early-stage startups in getting their internal tools spun up in Retool. It’s been amazing to see startups like Doordash, Linear and Ondeck grow with Retool, so we wanted to offer more to the next class of startups.
For those interested in trying out Retool but don’t have the upfront capital, we’re expanding our startup credits from $1,200 to $25,000. We’ve also dropped the credit card requirement and expanded our startup DealBook (w/ offers from AWS, Stripe, Brex, Ramp, etc). All startups (bootstrapped to Series A) founded within the past 10 years are eligible.
Starting today, we’re going to allow credits to be applied to any Retool plan (yes, Enterprise too!), so you can now self-host, have access to permission groups, granular controls, audit logs, SAML, source control, and any of our new product lines — mobile apps, databases, and automated workflows.
If you have any feedback or need help getting started, please feel free to comment in the thread / or email me (sid AT retool).
"Now we have ten problems, all sitting at desks we are paying for and are being charged ridiculous fees for a bunch of witless MBAs just out of college."
I think some of the fellows at Google are still some of the best people to look up to but not new grad CS majors they know as much as you do about engineering
