You're getting a lot of replies from other ICs that do well in a WFH setting, but I can say from a manager perspective, it's not always the manager or process. I've been managing remote teams for years since before covid and some people just don't do well without the in-person structure.

It's possible to build a high performing remote team, but it's not easy.

> some people just don't do well without the in-person structure

Structure is what makes remote work well. IME places that rely on everyone being together in-person to make sure things get done have poorly-defined structure.

That’s tough. We also bought a house in a nice suburban community right outside of NYC and it’s been amazing. We know all the neighbors, exchange gifts during holidays, and a ton of kids come out for Halloween. What I really liked about the neighborhood when house hunting was seeing kids ride their bikes around on the streets unsupervised. I don’t know if it had any correlation, but the vibe felt right.

"Vibe" should be a top criterion when house-hunting.

i wish that was a search filter...

TBH this kind of fuzzy criteria could be a nice AI application.

Thanks for posting this. My doc just prescribed vtama for me a month ago and my psoriasis was gone in less than a week. I didn’t even finish the sample tube he gave me. Far more effective than the steroid topical cream I was using before. I had no idea what vtama was until reading your post.

Yep. The nice thing about VTAMA is that it can be used continuously, unlike steroid creams. And it's unique among current topical meds in that it can provide sustained remission.

It may be that VTAMA reduces TRM cells in the skin, which are the T-cells responsible for relapse. There's is an ongoing clinical trial right now called KNOCKOUT [1] that gives patients a "megadose" of Skyrizi, an IL-23 inhibitor that has, like VTAMA, been shown to reduce TRM cells. The idea is that a single huge dose could effectively cure psoriasis, or at least suppress it for a very long time. The results so far show that 83% of patients achieved complete clearance after six months, which was sustained throughout the trial period. I'm confident it will be a game changer. Here [2] is an interview with the main researcher.

Among new psoriasis drugs, there is also Zoryve, a PDE4 inhibitor (same mechanism as Otezla) as a cream or foam, which has a different mechanism of action.

The original iPhone App Store launched with 400 apps, but the hardware was out for a year by that point.

The question will be will the distribution of ibeer/games to genuinely innovative uses of the form.

That being said I don't know what the first "wow" app was for the iPhone other than games?

>I don't know what the first "wow" app was for the iPhone other than games?

It was that beautiful touch screen + real apps, namely email and a browser. Before that, the number of devices with an email client not controlled by BlackBerry and a full on browser was very small.

They do exist. When I sold in NYC a few years ago, I paid 2.5% all in. When I bought, I used the same broker and got a 2/3 buyer's commission rebated to me at closing. It was a decent chunk of money and helped me pay the closing costs. I recommended it to all my friends and several got the rebates as well.

There are a bunch of these brokers now.

What do I type into google to find this?

I have one of those 1% apps (barely). What the survey didn't ask me was how much I spent on the thing. I spent over 50k on marketing and maybe 10k total on other stuff like graphics. It also took 3 yrs to pull in that money so way below typical wage in a western country.
