My different take on hacking the under desk exercise bike has been different by hanging it on the wall so that you could be excersizing lying on your back.

There has been a swift resonse to deny it by the "industry" with a little help from Nytimes and all.Yet,as a journalist, the guy asked the questions yet no one has given him in the documentary any comment. Now they are responding to public opinion.BBC's Reality Check team looked into some of the main claims in the Seaspiracy film on Netflix and most of them are somewhat accurate. https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/world/440156/fact-check-on-netfli...

You did not cite the bytimes?

Even in the desert where the landscape in always infux with sand dunes, people used to travel the desert and they still do in Africa and the middle east, they look up the into the sky for stars etc.Beduens still do it there, they unril recently-used to travel either walking or in camel convoys from Syria to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. But when I got lost in the desert - car broke down- at dusk I had to wait walk, in the wrong direction as it turned out, untill sunset.

William Thesiger in his book recounts that the Bedouins he traveled with could also identify and navigate based on the shape of the dunes too, and they had memory and recognition of various dune landscapes from many, many places.

If I had to guess, I would suppose that they are not recognising specific dunes (which would be constantly changing), but patterns in the dunes caused by prevailing winds. I am sure there is something analogous to the Polynesian voyagers recognising patterns in the waves and currents of the ocean.

Dunes are changing much more slowly than you think. They are huge and heavy, and they can hold shape for decades.

Any possible relation to the arrest of Assange? IMF board approves $4.2 bln financing deal with Ecuador March 11 (Reuters) - The International Monetary Fund’s executive board approved the $4.2 billion financing deal with Ecuador https://www.reuters.com/article/ecuador-imf/imf-board-approv...

Ecuador has been reeling with weak economic growth and increased debt for a while now. Although there were still other options to finance their problems for the time being, it is likely that Ecuador has requested IMF financing and it has been blocked at the executive level for a few years on the condition that they played ball. Coupled that with the fact that Assange lost almost all his political capital and 'friendly points' in the past few years, it became a matter of when, not if, Ecuador would trade in.

Is there any actual evidence for this at all?

A good question is, how could we accumulate such evidence? If only someone would, say, publish caches of diplomatic cables so we can know how our governments operate.

Call me a patsy, but it seems more likely that Ecuador kicked him out of the embassy because it asked him not to do certain things as a condition of his living there, and he did those things.

Naive patsy then.

Ecuador's governments have always been blackmailed by the US via the CIA. Moreno was just an intermediate for them, like Chavez, Allende or Lua, to get over with eventually. In the end there's always either a fascist putsch or electorial takeover. Philip Agee's book "Inside the Company: CIA Diary" explains all the gory details.

Trump is famous for requesting things to "make the deal easier" and then proceeding to ask for even more. So quite possibly Ecuador is going to be finding out fairly soon about additional things they need to do to get those loans.

Are you saying Trump directs the terms of IMF funding?

Not directly, but yes the U.S. has quite a bit of leverage over the IMF.

No, he's saying Trump and the IMF could be employing similar tactics.

That article is a month old——so, unlikely.

I don't see how that makes it unlikely. This has probably been months in the making.

You know real life politics doesn't move as fast as you see on TV right?

IMF has last granted a loan to Ecuador in Mar 21, 2003, that is 16 years. Now Ecuador is a client.

Sometimes it is air pollution irritating the nose, when I went to Copenhagen, I said it was the first time I was able to breath in a decade, while I was smoking at 3 am outside my hotel,Bella Sky .

Saltwater Washes (Nasal Saline) for Sinusitis helps a lot to clear any obstruction in the nasal cavity, it helped me breathe better.

I know of several ethnic Abkhazians from Jordan and Syria who volunteered and fought against the Georgian army which was threatening to conduct total ethnic cleansing of Abkhazians. "August 25, 1992: The commander of the Georgian army, Gia Karkarashvili, stated on TV that he would sacrifice 100,000 Georgians to kill all 97,000 Abkhazians, if that is what it took to keep Georgia's borders inviolate.' [A similar threat came from the head of Georgia's wartime administration, Giorgi Khaindrava, on the pages of Le Monde Diplomatique in April 1993. Goga (Giorgi) Khaindrava, told the correspondent from Le Monde Diplomatique that "there are only 80,000 Abkhazians, which means that we can easily and completely destroy the genetic stock of their nation by killing 15,000 of their youth. And we are perfectly capable of doing this.''] https://abkhazworld.com/aw/conflict/729-chronicle-1992-93-ge...

I think the Georgian fascist fervour was behind the drive of Abkhazian for independence.I was told the other side of the story by several Abkhazians, they said they were deprived of jobs, housing and oppressed by the Georgians in their capital Sukhumi. I am saying their capital because Abkhazia was a state before the USSR, they joined and were promised independence in case USSR got dissolved, yet Georgian Stalin obstructed that and got rid of all Abkhazian nationalists in his circle (source in the youtube this documentary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYGyyuxRPws.

Nothing justifies ethnic cleansing and mass murder. Abkhazia was not a state before USSR. They were not in a position to bargain with anyone about joining the Soviet Russia (USSR was created later). They were forcibly annexed like all other parts of the former Russian Empire whom the Bolsheviks managed to capture in a civil war.

Things are in limbo, destroyed buildingS are still deserted, lives shattered, this 5-year-old documentary seems from yesterday, I went there 3 months ago, nothing is normal. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYGyyuxRPws

It is not normal in Abkhazia at all, it is depressingly suffocating for the young generation to survive there with no hope of normal life. There is no longer any Russian financial support, they are broke now. Kids are allowed to drink alcohol at an early age because of their old traditions, drugs and suicide are rampant, even the coach of a football team was caught doing cocaine, and the legal system is broke due to tribalism. I visited Abkhazia last July, they are cut off, no airport, no seaport, just one crossing controlled by Russians. No real economy, just Russian tourists who would generate some business in the summer, now in winter I heard many calls for help.
