You don't even need to go that far to think its a bad name. The anglosphere can't even agree on the pronunciation and spelling.

Malicious actors will certainly take advantage of this as well.

Looking forward to hearing my British colleagues calling it "Al-yoo-MIN-ee-um" OS, but I'm failing to see how evil hackers are going to exploit that.

I think a lot of drugs are like this though. When concerns and worries are removed, you have more mental capacity for the task at hand.

Small amount of psychoactive substances seem to help a lot of people get into "the zone".

I have the same sentiment. I've never really had success using Gemini outside of translation. Although, even with that, Gemini would often refuse and I had to remind it that it does actually know other languages.

My most recent trials output single commas as responses to basic questions or it simply refuses the task on ethical grounds such as generating a photo of a backpack wearing a hoodie for some reason (it claimed harmful stereotypes and instead generated an ape).

Refusing to do perfectly ethical tasks is probably the most consist problem I've had.

Can it search file tags?

This. I saw the late Roland Griffiths as first author and thought the same.

I use a Firefox profile to watch specific videos while logged-out just for the focused recommendations.

I've also noticed that I getting more recommendations for small creators with little to no views/subs when I'm browsing from a smaller, developing country.

What a strange name.

The article I read a few days ago said that the tattoo artist posted on Instagram advertising their arrival to the US and taking clients. They had done the same with the previous destination on their tour.

If it's true, it seems pretty open and shut, so I'm not really sure why this is popping up on HN now.

It doesn’t seem open and shut at all, why not just deny her entry if they’re so sure at the border? It’s popping up on HN because apparently she’s been detained for over a month… well after her scheduled return flight. why would this ever be necessary?

I don’t know why this is on HN either but even if it is true, why detain for her so long? Why let her in at all? If it’s “open and shut” why hasn’t it been shut? Why is she still here?

Thanks for the info. I agree but as others said not sure why then the policy is to detain and deport if she's at the border. Just deny entry.

A few weeks ago I noticed my cheap Toshiba microwave does the same when the door button is partially pressed. Scary! I stood there holding it just right for a very long time to make sure it wouldn't heat a cup of water.

The author mentions a few social media sites but there are no links in the article or the "about" section to actually follow. I would have liked to have their content in my feed.

For some reason there’s not a feed on each page but the front page links to https://www.archcloudlabs.com/index.xml
