Mondrio | Software Engineer (Founding Team) | REMOTE (Brazil) | 3-Month Trial-to-Hire

B2B SaaS pricing is still guesswork. We’re building the AI-powered monetization operating system to fix it. We are pre-seed, lean (4 people), and shipping to live customers.

The Experience: This is a unique "fast-track" for an ambitious junior/mid-level engineer. You’ll skip the corporate ladder and learn to build an AI-native company from the ground floor. You will own features end-to-end—no managers, no layers.

AI-Native Workflow: We are all-in on Claude Code for scoping and shipping. You get a seat on Day 1. If you aren't already 10x-ing your output with AI tools, we’ll teach you. It’s the most essential skill for the next decade of engineering.

The Work:

Integrations: Build OAuth 2.0 flows and data sync pipelines for pilot customers.

Northstar Module: Build a strategic intelligence module from scratch (DB, Backend, Frontend integration. We have most of designs already).

AI Personas: Use LLMs to turn raw customer data into actionable pricing strategy.

Stack: Python 3.12 (Typed), FastAPI, MongoDB/Beanie, React/TS, Gemini/Claude, Claude Code, Google Cloud, Docker, Pulumi

Who You Are: You write clean, typed Python and can navigate a React component. You use AI tools (Cursor/Copilot) to move fast but remain the pilot. You care about the "Why" behind the product.

Process: Intro call → Technical session → Founder chat. Decision in ~7 days.

Apply: Send a link to something you’ve built to manon@mondrio.com

This is good. This is REALLY good!

Only for the ideologue every interaction must be burdened by partisan politics.

Ah, you are one of those who must be told what is “true.” You only know what you find agreeable.

To some, there are existential truths however they are come by which explain or predict, and others what is acceptable to think feel or believe.

Hi HN, I'm Aibek, a sysadmin from Kazakhstan.

I built LogSentinel because I needed to analyze Nginx/Syslogs logs with AI, but strict data policies prevented me from sending raw logs to OpenAI/Claude.

How it works:

It tails log files in real-time.

Masks PII (IPs, emails, credit cards) using Regex before inference.

Sends the sanitized context to a local LLM (Ollama running Llama 3) to find anomalies.

Stores patterns in SQLite to avoid re-analyzing known errors (caching).
It's an MVP, written in Python. I'd love to hear your feedback on the architecture or how you handle local log analysis securely.

That's neat. Just sucks that Rust proponents apparently tried to assassinate Rust critic Rene Rebe through swatting.

Vile, wretched and despicable Rust proponents will censor and downplay this.

Germans won't tell you how much they earn, ever. It keeps salaries down in all industries.

These fucking Tarifvertraege have kept salaries from growing, too. The people would have pushed a long time ago but the truth is masked well enough.

Those who don't believe the shit, earn more. It is sad and the change and progress happens elsewhere. Enjoy one or two decades of German companies looking like they still matter. Nobody will account for the reasons later on. It's a shame.

And an average of 65k to the average person is gooood.

Arizona Optical Metrology (AOM) | Software Engineer | Tucson, AZ | Onsite | Full-time

AOM is bringing decades of experience in optical metrology to bear on some of the most demanding applications on earth—commercial space telescopes, extreme precision optics for EUV lithography, and next-gen consumer electronics.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to lead development of a computer vision based advanced metrology system. We are seeking a long-term team member, as we have further products that will be developed and would like a key team member to grow with the role.

The Role: You will own core system development, moving between high-level scientific computing and low-level hardware control. You will also go on-site to support system deployment. This includes:

Pipeline: Python (NumPy/SciPy/OpenCV) for numerical computing and image processing.

Performance: Rust for real-time frame processing and optimized solvers. (We offer opportunities to learn Rust on the job).

Hardware: Camera SDKs (PySpin), display synchronization, and timing-critical acquisition loops.

Math: Sparse linear algebra, FFT, polynomial fitting, and geometric optics.

Requirements:

BS/MS in CS, Physics, or Optical Engineering.

Strong Python experience (NumPy, SciPy, OpenCV).

Systems-level thinking (state management, error handling, timing).

Bonus: Rust experience, hardware interface experience, or a background in optics/physics.

We are looking for someone who enjoys the intersection of software, math, and physical hardware.

>institutional finance is america's most powerful lobbyist. in the sense of the fund managers, the little RIAs, the grandmas holding SPY. they ARE the voters.

This. They're letting wall street in on it so wall street goes to bat for it. It's the big boy version of how some widget manufacturer will revise a product to necessitate or cut out a trade lobby depending on whether they want those people to go to bat for it, or make all the people who don't wanna pay rent to those people go to bat for it.

Probably money

I agree that more would be better. The position is grant-funded and the grant has strict rules on funding limits.

Wait till you see the showdown that's building up in NYC.

Mamdani, the new nyc mayor, has been a long time friend and advocate for NYC taxi workers alliance. He even participated in a hunger strike with them in 2021.

Waymo is right now starting the wheels turning on getting NYC permits, but taxi workers have already made their (obvious) stance clear: No Waymos.

Nobody ever said that they were nonexistent before LLMs. When you are investigating and trying to determine if something is AI generated they are the number one indicator.

So if you're being accused of just spewing AI, then double down and spew what looks EVEN MORE like AI. What are you even doing?

Market forces are already putting a lot of pressure on AI. The market doesn't work for everything but the invisible hand is coming for AI already.

Also in the USA. We call it "prison labor", and over 1% of our adult population is "under correctional control."

Approximately two-thirds (about 61% to over 65%) of the 1.2 million people incarcerated in US state and federal prisons are employed in prison labor, totaling around 800,000 workers. These workers often perform maintenance tasks for, on average, 13 to 52 cents per hour, with many facing forced labor conditions https://www.epi.org/publication/rooted-racism-prison-labor/#...
